“Loom” Floor Lamp
The “Loom” Hanging Lamp looks like a spool from a loom that is about to be turned into patadyong, a recognisable skirt widespread in Visayas, Philippines. It is a celebration of local identity, and shows how simple threads can express the roots of a community.
Scoring and joinery design hide the construction of the lamp to emphasize the color pattern. Utilization of a spool also aided in production.
